Airlines at Luxembourg

 
Passanger airlines
 
LUXAIR (LG/LGL - "Luxair")
Luxair is the main passanger airline at Findel with scheduled flights to several European destinations. Luxair also has flights to many holiday destinations. At the moment Luxair operates a fleet of DHC-8-400 (4), EMB135 (2), EMB145 (6),  Boeing 737-800 (1) and Boeing 737-700's (3).
 
British Airways (BA/BAW - "Speedbird")
Every weekday British Airways operates two return flights from London Gatwick. On Sunday one flight is operated. You can see a mix of Boeing 737-400 and Airbus A319 operating these flights.

 
Hahn Air (HR/HHN - "Rooster")
Every Monday and Friday Hahn Air flies the route Düsseldorf-Luxembourg with a Raytheon Premier 1 business jet leased from Vibro Air. The flight arrives in the morning and departs at the end of the afternoon.
 
Hamburg International (4R/HHI - "Hamburg Jet")
From May to October 2010 Hamburg International operates a weekly holiday flight to Palma de Mallorca on Saturday. The flights are operated with an Airbus A319.
 
Iceland Express (5W/AEU - "Flystar")
Keflavik can be reached from Luxembourg twice a week from June to August 2010 with Iceland Express. UK airline Astraeus will operated on behalf of them with Boeing 737-700 equipment. Iceland Express is also offering an onward connection to New York/Newark.
 
KLM (KL/KLM - "KLM")
Amsterdam is served by KLM Cityhopper on a daily basis with Fokker 70 and ERJ190 aircraft.

 

 
SAS (SK/SAS - "Scandinavian")
The scheduled flights of SAS to Copenhagen are operated by Cimber Air with Canadair Regional Jets (morning flights and Sunday evening flight) and SAS CRJ900's (afternoon flight). Occasionally a MD80 can be seen on one of the flight.

 
Swiss (LX/SWR - "Swiss")
The Avro RJ100's of Swiss are daily visitors to Luxembourg on the flights from Zürich. From time to time the flights are operated with Airbus A319/320 equipment or Fokker 100's leased from Helvetic.

 
TAP Air Portugal (TP/TAP - "Air Portugal")
To serve the large Portuguese community in Luxembourg TAP operates flights from Porto and Lissabon, the afternoon flight normaly operated by Portugalia with Fokker 100's. Also TAP Airbus A319's and A320's can be seen regulary at Findel. During holiday periods TAP operates several extra flights to Luxembourg.

 
Tunis Air (TU/TAR - "Tunair")
Once a week Tunis Air flies between Monastir and Luxembourg. On this route Boeing 737-500's or 737-600's are used. During the summer of 2010 a second weekly flight will be added.

 
VLM/City Jet (WX/BCY - "City Ireland")
The Fokker 50's of Belgian airline VLM/City Jet can be seen on flights to London-City.

 

 
Cargo airlines
 
Cargolux (CV/CLX - "Cargolux")
The largest operator of cargo flights in Luxembourg is of course Cargolux.Its fleet of 15 Boeing 747-400 freighters flies to all corners of the world. Also, an all white Boeing 747-200F of Air Atlanta is leased for the rest of 2010. Cargolux is the "launch customer" of the new Boeing 747-8F aircraft, but delivery of these new airplanes is not expected before late 2010.

 
Aero-Charter Airlines (DW/UCR - "Ukrain Charter")
The Antonov 12's or 26's of Aero-Charter fly regular services between Luxembourg and Kiev.

 
Allied Air (AJK "Bambi")
Every Friday Allied Air operates a cargo flight to Pointe Noir in Congo. This flight is operated by World Airways with MD-11 freighters, using Allied Air flightnumbers.
 
Atlas Air (5Y/GTI "Giant")
several times a week a Boeing 747-400F of Atlas Air operates a flight to Huntsville on behalf of Panalpina. The return flight is taking place via Prestwick in Scotland.

 
China Airlines (CI/CAL "Dynasty")
The 747-400's of China Airlines are daily visitors to Luxembourg on flights from Taipeh. Most flights make a stop en-route in places like Prague, Stockholm or Abu Dhabi.

 
China Cargo (CK/CKK "Cargo King")
formaly known as China Eastern Cargo, this airline has flights to Luxembourg from China with Boeing 777 freighters. The aircraft normally arrives late afternoon on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

 
Ethiopian Airlines (ETH - "Ethiopian")
Ethiopian flies once a week to Luxembourg. Every Sunday their MD-11 freighter arrives from Liege and departs to Pointe Noir in Africa.

 
Jade Cargo (JI/JAE - "Jade Cargo")
Every Saturday afternoon Jade Cargo operates a flight between Luxembourg and Shanghai with a Boeing 747-400 freigher.
 
Meridian (MEM - "Meridian Cherry")
The Antonov 12s of Meridian are regular visitors to Luxembourg. Most flights are to/from Kiev but occasionally Meridian flies to other destinations.
 
West Air Europe (WLX - "Westlux")
On behalf of DHL West Air operates an overnight fligth to DHL's main hub Leipzig every weekday. During daylight the BAe ATP of West Air is normaly parked at the main apron.

 
Yangtze River Express (Y8/YZR - "Yangtze River")
Without a real flying schedule the colourfull 747-400's of Yangtze River flies several time a week between Shanghai and Luxembourg.
